The Rams didn’t come out of Thursday Night Football unscathed. Marqui Christian was placed on the injured reserve, and his roster spot was taken by Isaiah Johnson, who was promoted to the active roster today.

Back in September, Johnson was waived by the team after they claimed Marqui Christian off waivers from the Cardinals.

The Rams also added DB Kevin Short, DB Jerome Couplin, LB Reggie Northrup and LB Cassanova McKinzy to the practice squad.

Out of all the practice squad additions, Jerome Couplin is the only one with any NFL playing time. He’s appeared in ten games overall, with eight of those games coming last year as a member of the Eagles.

Of course, no Les Snead-approved move is made without a mention of the Auburn Tigers, whom McKinzy played for.

Old habits die hard.
