LA Rams Initial Injury Report For Seattle Seahawks Overshadowed By Jeff Fisher Firing

Not sure an initial injury report has ever been met with less indifference...

With the news of the Los Angeles Rams firing Head Coach Jeff Fisher, what would normally have been an accelerated Monday going from dealing with yesterday’s 12-42 loss to the Atlanta Falcons to preparing for a Thursday Night Football clash on national TV against NFC West rivals Seattle Seahawks was turned into a singular expression of the release of long pent-up hope that Fisher had quelled in his (nearly) five losing seasons atop the Rams pyramid (77-word lede, biatch).

So trying to shift targets tonight, here’s the initial injury report for the Rams as we begin to turn toward TNF in Seattle:

Los Angeles Rams

Name POS Injury Wed. Status
Robert Quinn DE Concussion Full
Maurice Alexander S Concussion DNP
Benny Cunningham RB Neck DNP
E.J. Gaines CB Thigh DNP
Cory Harkey TE Triceps DNP
Matt Longacre DE Heel DNP
Brian Quick WR Shoulder DNP

That’s perhaps the most significant injury report of the season...and yet I’m struggling to feign interest. So let’s not!

Seattle, what have you?

Seattle Seahawks

Name POS Injury Wed. Status
C.J. Prosise RB Shoulder DNP
Will Tukuafu FB Concussion DNP
Damontre Moore DE Foot DNP
Troymaine Pope RB Ankle DNP
Brock Coyle LB Foot DNP
Jimmy Graham TE Not Injury Related DNP

Sure! This matters a lot to me right now!

Since I got home this evening, I’ve cooked dinner, jumped in on the podcast over at Field Gulls, the SBN community for fans of the Seattle Seahawks, done the ol’ Facebook Live (it’s not ol’) and knocked out a quick hit for SB Nation Radio with Matt Perrault. So here is my profound analysis on the injury report for both teams and what it means for Thursday night in front of the national audience:

Poop dee poop boop poop. And a touchdown.

Non-hypothetical (!) interim injury report tomorrow...dee poop boop poop.
