Week 14: Rams vs Falcons Inactives

Defensive end Robert Quinn is the most critical inactive. He has not been 100% himself this season, but he is still the Rams’ best edge rusher. The Rams could have used someone like him to get to Matt Ryan, who will be working with a depleted wide receiver corps.

The Rams may miss cornerback E.J. Gaines, too, even though the Falcons are missing wide receivers. Gaines is the most capable cornerback on the team other than Trumaine Johnson. It would have been nice to have a healthy secondary against a depleted Falcons offense.

• DE Adrian Clayborn

In the absence of their top two wide receivers, the Falcons offense may lean more on their run game than they normally would. Wide receivers Justin Hardy and Taylor Gabriel are capable, but they shouldn’t be able to carry this passing offense.

Defensive end Adrian Clayborn is a major inactive as well. When healthy, he’s been one of the Falcons best and most consistent down linemen.
