The Los Angeles Rams are headed to Nola to take on the New Orleans Saints in Jared Goff’s second professional start. In doing so, they’re sitting a full touchdown behind the hosts according to oddsmakers.
Part of what is compelling the large line (and the fact that it has edged up a bit from where it was set to begin with) has to be QB Jared Goff. His inexperience plus the incredibly limited showing from the offense from last week’s loss to the Miami Dolphins hardly inspired faith that he alone would be able to single-handedly elevate the Rams’ entire offense.
Not helping things is that the Rams are going up against the best offense in the NFL in yards per game and tied for 3rd in the league in points scored from the Saints. No doubt that matchup between the Saints’ O and the Rams’ stellar D will be great viewing.
