Although it has taken more than half a season, the Los Angeles Rams will finally start their rookie quarterback Jared Goff in Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins.
Of course, being the number one draft pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, will mean that all of the attention will be on him. Which is understandable, however football is a team which means other players will be effected by this change in quarterback.
TE Tyler Higbee
Before the NFL 2016 draft was held, Higbee was arrested for assault. He fell in the draft because of this incident, and more than likely his injury history played a factor as well.
In college, he was a poor blocker but a damn good catcher.

So far, Higbee has been a solid blocker for the Rams which in itself is a surprise. In the receiving game, he has four receptions and 34 yards, 31 of which came on a pass against the Carolina Panthers.
Higbee is a tight end that reminds me of Jared Cook. Both players are good in the seam, athletic and can get open. From what I’ve seen Higbee has soft hands and if he can develop chemistry with Goff and stay healthy, he could become a playmaker that the Rams need him to be.
WR Tavon Austin
If the Rams’ offense is going to improve they will need some help from the little guy with a big contract. A player who has not had a good start to his season so far, but last season showed the potential to score touchdowns by scoring ten of them.
Austin and Keenum couldn’t find a connection between the two of them, however If you ask Austin, he will give you another reason for his poor performance thus far.

Austin will probably never be a true number one for the Rams, however he could develop into a solid chess piece. Having a QB that can throw it deep will benefit Austin. Ideally, he becomes the guy who Goff depends on, when it comes to check downs and easy throws. Also, it will help if he becomes a good option to attack the middle of the field.
RB Todd Gurley
Gurley has been a disappointment so far this season, scoring three touchdowns and is on track to finish the season with less than a 1,000 rushing yards.
It is unfair to place all of the blame of Gurley’s lack of production hon him.The Rams offensive line has not been able to provide a push or open holes against opposing defensive lines.
Having Goff under center should potentially give the Rams an intermediate and deep game. If the Rams can give defenses another element to respect, maybe Gurley will be able to gain the yards that he has not been able to thus far.
