Note: I’ll update the snap counts in this spreadsheet all season including the first tab tracking the season totals. While I’ll paste individual game PT in each week’s recap, I’ll likely refer to the season totals moving forward from that link. So uh, peep it.

So much for Los Angeles Rams offensive star power. Both RB Just Todd Gurley and WR Tavon Austin hit season lows against the New York Jets in Week 10. Read into that what you will.

For the running backs, Gurley’s dip corresponded with a season high play rate for RB Benny Cunningham. That’s four games in a row in fact in which Cunningham set a season high. His six carries for 40 yards certainly stood out yesterday.

As for wide receiver, the slack was picked up by rookie WR Pharoh Cooper. He too hit a season high playing on nearly 30% of the offensive snaps. This for a player who as recently as Week 7 was a healthy inactive.

One random thing I was wondering yesterday - what happened to Malcolm Brown? The Rams’ third running back had 18 snaps in the first two games of the season. He’s played two in the last four games, both of those coming in Week 9 against the Panthers.

Cody Davis FS 1 1.67%

Some inconsistencies with the defensive line rotation yesterday. DE Robert Quinn hit a season high...by a very, very wide margin. He hadn’t topped 65% of defensive snaps in a game. Yesterday, he was well past 80%. Alternatively, DL Ethan Westbrooks hit his second lowest rate of the year. Same for DE Eugene Sims, thanks to Quinn’s usage.

Rookie LB Josh Forrest barely got any work yesterday, playing just four snaps.

And with CB Lamarcus Joyner missing some time, CB Troy Hill was back in the mix.

Randomly, the Rams clearly have a slot for what S Marqui Christian brings on special teams, what former Rams S Christian Bryant brought last. Not sure if their position designation being the same means anything, but the fact they were UDFAs who were fringe roster candidates brought in mid-season and stuck likely does.

As always, drop your observations on the playing time from this week as well as anything you’re seeing from the season snaps.
