Rams-Jets Inactives: Jamon Brown, Matt Longacre Inactive

New, comment

Here are the inactives for today’s Rams-Jets game.

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Rams and New York Jets head into today's matchup on the opposite ends of the spectrum on the injury front. The Rams are one of the healthiest teams in the NFL while the Jets.... well just look at the injury report and you'll see that they're pretty bad off right now.

Here are the inactives for the Rams taking on the New York Jets today:

  • OG Jamon Brown
  • CB Dwayne Gratz
  • TE Temmarick Hemingway
  • DE Matt Longacre
  • QB Sean Mannion
  • OT Pace Murphy
  • WR Nelson Spruce

The two worth noting here are Brown and Longacre. Cody Wichmann has struggled this season and the OL sorely misses Brown. Longacre is a quality rotational piece at DE for Gregg Williams.

Michael Brockers, Todd Gurley, Lamarcus Joyner, and Trumaine Johnson - who were all listed as questionable - are all good to go for the Rams.

Nelson Spruce will be in street clothes again. I think it's fair at this point to question why he made the roster. Eric Kush is starting at Guard for the Chicago Bears and one has to wonder if he'd be an upgrade over Wichmann. Hell, they could have kept Akeem Ayers on board and had three legitimate LBs on the team.

Here are the inactives for the Jets today:

  • LB Bruce Carter
  • TE Kellen Davis
  • QB Christian Hackenberg
  • C Nick Mangold
  • LB Josh Martin
  • OT Brandon Shell
  • WR Devin Smith
  • CB Marcus Williams

Mangold being out bodes well for the Rams interior DL. Brockers and Aaron Donald can battle it out with the best of them, but Mangold's absence will only make their lives easier today.
