Per 506 Sports, here’s the FOX broadcast map for the early games on Sunday:
- Green: Rams at Jets
- Red: Falcons at Eagles
- Blue: Packers at Titans
- Yellow: Vikings at Washington Football-Playing Group
- Orange: Bears at Buccaneers
- Gray: No game due to local team broadcast on CBS
Non-pictured market coverage: Anchorage, AK - Packers at Titans; Fairbanks, AK - Packers at Titans; Honolulu, HI - Packers at Titans
Well, this is about what you’d expect from two three-win teams heading into Week 10. With three other games featuring a combination of teams that have won more than the six the Los Angeles Rams and New York Jets have combined for, it’s understandable that the map was going to be constricted.
Strange, then, that the Rams soak up perhaps their biggest slice of SoCal in a competitive time slot this year. With the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Arizona Cardinals in the FOX late group (with an incredibly small map themselves), the Rams get to play in front of Bakersfield and even Fresno.
Meanwhile, the Jets feed the north half of New Jersey, all of Connecticut, the eastern market dominated by NYC as well as the Buffalo market (with the Jets’ AFC East rival Bills on a bye).
Notable then that St. Louis gets an Atlanta-Philadelphia matchup in Week 10.
Overall, it’s a small patch of America getting Rams-Jets on Sunday.
