Rams-Bills Inactives: D-Line Down Three Starters

Well. This doesn’t sound good. Here are your seven inactive Rams today:

• DT Michael Brockers
• RB Benny Cunningham
• DE William Hayes
• QB Sean Mannion
• OT Pace Murphy
• DE Robert Quinn
• WR Nelson Spruce

That’s three starting defensive linemen out in Brockers, Hayes and Quinn. Benny Cunningham, the backup RB, is also out. Spruce remains unavailable to make his NFL debut.

Yikes.

We’ll have to see how the Rams stand up with Eugene Sims, Ethan Westbrooks and Matt Longacre combine to set up on the edge in replacement of Quinn and Hayes.

As for Brockers, the Rams have some veteran depth they can lean on inside with Dominique Easley and Cam Thomas.

If nothing else, it frees Gregg Williams up to install some more creative blitz packages to keep the pressure up in absence of the line’s starters.

Here’s Buffalo’s seven-man inactive list:

• OL Gabe Ikard
• QB Cardale Jones
• C Patrick Lewis
• OL Cyrus Kouandjio
• CB Corey White
• RB Jonathan Williams

That of course means RB LeSean McCoy is active, though the loss of Dareus is huge.
