The Rams are short on 2017 draft assets due to the Jared Goff trade. We already looked at how they could further destroy their draft by acquiring a player at the trade deadline. Who could the Rams unload to regain some draft capital in what's turning out to be year 5 of #7and9bullshit?
Kenny Britt
I list Britt here instead of Brian Quick because he has more value right now. He's in the middle of a career year and the Rams might be able to get a 3rd or 4th round pick in exchange for him. Yes, he's having the best season for a Rams WR in a decade. But he's also becoming more expensive to retain with each passing week.
Given what happened with 'Priority A' last offseason, I don't necessarily want to tempt Jeff Fisher and Les Snead into prioritizing Britt over Trumaine Johnson
Dominique Easley
The Rams signing Easley this offseason has been a boon. He's played well and has re-established himself as a solid DL. But let's not kid ourselves..... The Rams just paid Michael Brockers and Aaron Donald has an absolutely monster payday coming to him. It wouldn't be wise for the Rams to invest heavily in DT depth.
Instead of keeping him around for the second half of the 2016 season, trade him for a 4th-5th round pick and use it to draft some long term DT depth.
Also, see above. (Priority A)
Case Keenum
I know some of y'all are going to lose your cool over this, but it should happen. I don't care if the Rams only get a conditional 7th round pick for him. Clear the way for Goff.
