Today, we’re seeing a very composed game offensively between the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions.
Each team had just three drives in the first half. Four of those drives resulted in touchdowns. One for Detroit ended quickly in a punt. One for Los Angeles ended in the fourth down stuff to end the half.
Both teams are grinding out drives. Will anything change in the second half?
Will the Rams’ defense suddenly take over and stop Matt Stafford and the Lions’ passing attack? They did a fine job at holding the run game in contain. If they overcommit to the pass, does it open up the run?
And more importantly (and unbelievably), the offense has been...good today. Just Todd Gurley is averaging more than 5 yards per carry. Case Keenum is a phenomenal 15 of 17 and nearly had two passing TDs to go with his scamper into the end zone. Does that keep up? Do the Rams avoid a turnover?
This is shaping up to be a very close game between two evenly matched teams.
These thirty minutes will tell us a ton about the 2016 Los Angeles Rams...
