Here are the seven inactives for the Los Angeles Rams taking on the Detroit Lions today:

  • WR Pharoh Cooper
  • TE Temarrick Hemingway
  • CB Trumaine Johnson
  • QB Sean Mannion
  • OT Pace Murphy
  • DE Robert Quinn
  • WR Nelson Spruce

Given the final injury report, it’s not too bad. We knew Tru was out, but the concern was over a trio of defensive linemen in Quinn, DT Michael Brockers and DE William Hayes along with WR Brian Quick and G Cody Wichmann. Now the fact that so many of them are active doesn’t mean that they’ll play or that they’re 100%, but they’re at least available which suggests they’re closer than Quinn...which is now a concern in and of itself.

As for the other scratches, Spruce remains on the sideline while Cooper, who made his NFL debut last week, is back on the list. As OC Register’s Rich Hammon suggested, this could well be due to the special teams value of other wide receivers like Bradley Marquez and fellow rookie Mike Thomas. It is a bit surprising to see Hemingway sidelined then, but we’ll have to see how the snap counts work out.

Here’s Detroit’s:

  • CB Adairius Barnes
  • TE Eric Ebron
  • LB DeAndre Levy
  • DT Haloti Ngata
  • RB Theo Riddick
  • G Larry Warford
  • RB Dwayne Washington

Analysis from our friends over at Pride of Detroit:

Both starting guards, Larry Warford and Laken Tomlinson, were listed as questionable on Friday’s report, after both players missed practices this week. The news is good for Tomlinson as he will play, but Warford is out.

As reported earlier, the Lions will be missing their second and third string running backs in Theo Riddick and Dwayne Washington. The Lions are already without their starting running back Ameer Abdullah for the foreseeable future, as the star running back is on injured reserve.

Elsewhere, Ezekiel Ansah is officially back after missing three straight games with a high ankle sprain. His linemate, A’Shawn Robinson, who was also labeled as questionable for the game, will also play. With Haloti Ngata out this week, Robinson could be in for a much bigger role against the Rams.
