The Associated Press has released their 2015 All-Pro teams, and three St. Louis Rams made the cut: DT Aaron Donald, P Johnny Hekker and RB Todd Gurley.
It should not come as a surprise that these three made All-Pro. All three players had amazing seasons and are currently in the upper class of their positions. The Rams' successful trio has also been voted to the Pro Bowl.
The young rookie running back ended the season as the third best runner in the league in rushing yards, an impressive feat given that Gurley only played 13 games and started 12 of them. Based on the voting, Gurley was the third-ranked player, leading the way on the second-team roster as a runner. The awards may not end for Gurley as he is in the running for rookie of the year as well.
Hekker has proven throughout his short career that he could be one of the best punters in history. That is what usually happens when you lead the NFL in punting inside the 20, gross punting average and net punting average. This is his second time making the All-Pro list.
Aaron Donald has been one of the best defensive linemen in the league this season, in fact if you were to ask who is the best defensive lineman in the league, it will be either Donald or J.J. Watt. It would be a surprise if Donald won Defensive Player of the Year, however it is not everyday that you see an defensive tackle with 11 sacks.
