Let's just make this simple. Here's the major mocks we've covered:
December 8, Matt Miller (B/R): At #10, Rams select Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell
December 16, Todd McShay (ESPN): At #10, Rams select Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell
December 22, Dan Kadar (Mocking the Draft): At #18, Rams select Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell
Ok.
Well now that we've set the early order for the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft with the Rams picking at #15, who does Kadar have the Rams taking in his updated mock?
Laquon Treadwell (WR, Ole Miss)
This may be a bit dull since it's a repeat of my last mock draft, but Treadwell is just too good at a position of need for the Rams. Adding him will lessen the burden on the Rams' other receivers, and provide whoever is the team's quarterback a legit No. 1 option.
Kadar's mock came out this morning before Treadwell actually announced he's declaring for the draft as a true junior:

Treadwell was part of Ole Miss' headline-crackling 2013 recruiting class in which they picked up the consensus #1 players at WR, OT and DL: Treadwell, Laremy Tunsil (who himself declared for the draft today and is the #1 overall pick in Kadar's mock) and Robert Nkemdiche (who is likely to declare and is at #12 in Kadar's mock).
Speaking of players ahead of Treadwell in the mock, let's look at how he slides to the Rams at 15:
# | Team | Pick | POS | School |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Tennessee Titans | Laremy Tunsil | OT | Ole Miss |
2 | Cleveland Browns | Jared Goff | QB | California |
3 | San Diego Chargers | Joey Bosa | DE | Ohio St. |
4 | Dallas Cowboys | Jaylon Smith | OLB | Notre Dame |
5 | Jacksonville Jaguars | Jalen Ramsey | CB | Florida St. |
6 | Baltimore Ravens | Ronnie Stanley | OT | Notre Dame |
7 | San Francisco 49ers | Paxton Lynch | QB | Memphis |
8 | Miami Dolphins | Vernon Hargreaves III | CB | Florida |
9 | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Mackensie Alexander | CB | Clemson |
10 | New York Giants | DeForest Buckner | DE | Oregon |
11 | Chicago Bears | Reggie Ragland | ILB | Alabama |
12 | New Orleans Saints | Robert Nkemdiche | DT | Ole Miss |
13 | Philadelphia Eagles | Taylor Decker | OT | Ohio St. |
14 | Oakland Raiders | Sua Cravens | OLB | USC |
It's early, but it's worth taking note of the stock at this point. These names are going to be sliding all over the place as we approach the combine in late February and obviously thereafter.
As it stands, we've got a clear frontrunner for the Rams in the 2016 NFL Draft.
