2016 NFL Mock Draft: CBS Duo Differs On QB Solution For Rams

Well now we're at the point where it's easier just to double up on mocks, especially when they're coming from the same outlet.

Over at CBS, Rob Rang and Dane Brugler both updated their mocks and we've got a position agreement....and a prospect disagreement.

The two mocks don't differ in the top seven picks, but Rang's mock leans on pass rushers thereafter while Brugler's tabs some cornerbacks.

Here's the combined top 14:

12 New Orleans Saints DeForest Buckner DE Oregon Mackensie Alexander CB Clemson
13 Philadelphia Eagles A'Shawn Robinson DT Alabama Carson Wentz QB North Dakota St.

Rang's up first with a new QB for the Rams:

Connor Cook (QB, Michigan St.)

With rookie Pro Bowler Todd Gurley and the NFL's most ferocious defensive line, the Rams are only a legitimate quarterback away from contention. Cook is a polarizing prospect in part due to an abrasive personality, but he's arguably the most pro-ready quarterback in this class.

Let the Great Rams QB Debate Begin. Tossing Cook in the mix gives us a four-wide QB race, though Goff's stock is too solidly high right now to have pushed him to the Rams. That will change, but for now it's the next three we've seen mocked our way.

Speaking of, Brugler has the Rams going with:

Paxton Lynch (QB, Memphis)

The Rams have a very talented roster, except at the most important position in sports: quarterback. And as the franchise makes the move to L.A., Lynch would give the Rams a young passer to groom.

Have at it.
