The mocks are coming in fast and heavy.
Here's Daniel Jeremiah from NFL.com with his first effort and the top 14:
# | Team | Pick | POS | School |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Tennessee Titans | Joey Bosa | DE | Ohio St. |
2 | Cleveland Browns | Jared Goff | QB | California |
3 | San Diego Chargers | Laremy Tunsil | OT | Ole Miss |
4 | Dallas Cowboys | Carson Wentz | QB | North Dakota St. |
5 | Jacksonville Jaguars | DeForest Buckner | DE | Oregon |
6 | Baltimore Ravens | Jalen Ramsey | CB | Florida St. |
7 | San Francisco 49ers | Myles Jack | OLB | UCLA |
8 | Miami Dolphins |
Jaylon Smith |
OLB | Notre Dame |
9 | Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Eli Apple | CB | Ohio St. |
10 | New York Giants | Ezekiel Elliott | RB | Ohio St. |
11 | Chicago Bears | Vernon Hargreaves III | CB | Florida |
12 | New Orleans Saints | Mackensie Alexander | CB | Clemson |
13 | Philadelphia Eagles | Ronnie Stanley | OT | Notre Dame |
14 | Oakland Raiders | Robert Nkemdiche | DL | Ole Miss |
Some interesting names in there, especially the Apple-Elliott duo at 9 and 10. You wonder how other NFL teams view the Todd Gurley pick after the Rams picked him up for what could be a rookie of the year-winning season and still finished with a losing record and the league's worst offense in yardage...
In any case, Jeremiah's mock leaves Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell, Memphis QB Paxton Lynch, Baylor WR Corey Coleman and more on the board. Jeremiah mocks the Rams to take:
Paxton Lynch (QB, Memphis)
Lynch is very raw, but he has unlimited potential and the Rams are desperate to land a franchise QB.
So this is the third mock with the Rams taking Lynch after Kadar's third mock overall from a week ago and Mel Kiper's first mock over at ESPN. There's not really anything I'd offer beyond what I said there, so go check those out if you need any analysis; really though, Jeremiah's blurb is enough.
Just another bar-setting offering on what is turning today in Mock Monday.
