2015 St. Louis Rams: Here's Who Didn't Make the 53-Man Roster In The Latest Round Of Cuts

Here are the 22 who didn't make it.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The Rams have released their 53-man roster. Here are the 22 players who made the 75-man who didn't make the ultimate cut.

T Isaiah Battle

Tough to consider a 10-man offensive line group that doesn't include Battle, but clearly the staff was very serious about his redshirt year.

TE Alex Bayer

The Rams don't really need receiving skills from their TE depth. After a surprising 2014 preseason, Bayer underwhelmed this year. His leash wasn't that long.

WR Emory Blake

Blake was always a long shot with healthy options ahead of him.

RB Malcolm Brown

I thought there was a chance for Brown to make it with Todd Gurley, Tre Mason and Trey Watts all unavailable in week 1. The nod to Isaiah Pead is an indication of how much this staff still believes in him.

S Christian Bryant

Bryant flashed some in the preseason, but the safety position was already well-stocked.

TE Justice Cunningham

Cunningham probably isn't long for elsewhere with the Rams lacking a backup for Cory Harkey on the active roster.

QB Austin Davis

A year ago, Austin Davis beat out Case Keenum. The difference a year makes...

LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar

I'm honestly not all that surprised at this. I alluded to this possibility in my last 53-man projection. Dunbar doesn't offer special teams flexibility, and with Akeem Ayers, there was talent ahead of him.

DT Marcus Forston

Forston's talented, but this line's far too built to have room for him.

CB Montell Garner

A near-miss. With Gaines out, the Rams are thin at depth with just four corners on the active roster.

S Jacob Hagen

Like Bryant, there wasn't a legitimate opening here.

DE Martin Ifedi

Thought Ifedi had a shot, but with the offensive line expansion and the talent at the top of the DL unit, Ifedi was unnecessary.

C Barrett Jones

Jones has had chance after chance to break through. With this cut, it's time for Rams fans to move on.

FB Zach Laskey

Like Justice Cunningham, the Rams don't have a solution behind Harkey in his role. I'd be surprised if they move on entirely from both.

DE Matt Longacre

Good guy, wrong team.

LB Marshall McFadden

If Jo-Lonn wasn't gonna make it...

CB Brandon McGee

Since Marcus Roberson surpassed him, he's always been on tenuous terms.

CB Trovon Reed

It would've been fun to continue to strengthen #WarDamnRams, but Trovon moved to the position so late in his career, expecting much of him at this level would be a stretch.

WR Daniel Rodriguez

Words don't suffice.

DT Louis Trinca-Pasat

There are teams who need him way more than the Rams do. LTP has a future in this league.

G Brandon Washington

He had his shot. There's a fairness in missed opportunities.

RB Trey Watts

The big question for Watts and the Rams is if they will bring him back on after week four. We'll have to re-visit this later on this month to see where Todd Gurley and Tre Mason are at health-wise.
