For their parts in the St. Louis Rams' 34-31 overtime win over the Seattle Seahawks, DT Aaron Donald and WR Tavon Austin were awarded Week 1's NFC Defensive Player Of The Week and NFC Special Teams Player Of The Week, respectively.

Donald terrorized the Seahawks' offensive line for much of the game including a game-ending stuff of RB Marshawn Lynch that has him in the running for the NFL's Week 1 Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the Week Award (if you like Aaron Donald, you should buy their motor oil or somesuch).

Austin scored two touchdowns: one as a running back and later a 75-yard punt return TD that put the Rams up 11 late in the third quarter.

Collectively, the Rams set a high bar with their week with the season opening victory. Individually for Donald and Austin, the bar's even higher.
