After taking a break on Wednesday, the Rams are back on the field today ahead of tomorrow night's scrimmage at Lindenwood University (full practice and preseason schedule available here).

Major storyline time.

Offensive Line

The rotation between Tim Barnes, Barrett Jones and Demetrius Rhaney should have Jones as the starter today if things go unchanged. Of course the Rams have only had one full practice in pads, so expect the rotation to continue at least a bit longer.

Meanwhile, Jamon Brown hit Twitter for the first time since July 25 with this RT:

Shout out to Rodger Saffold and #explosions.

Injuries

All eyes on E.J. Gaines. The second-year cornerback injured his foot on Wednesday and will miss some time, though it's not sure how much. Gaines reportedly met with Dr. Robert Anderson who's the foremost foot specialist just like Dr. James Andrews and knees.

With Gaines set to hit the sideline and Brandon McGee also injured, the Rams signed Trovon Reed to shore up the cornerback depth. To make room for him, the team released WR Devon Wylie.

Meanwhile, it sounds like Brian Quick is close to getting back to 100%.

Rookies

Just Todd Gurley closer to a return than many have suggested? Adam Schefter thinks he might beOr not.

Defense

Had a couple good notes in the Twitter recap of Tuesday's practice. To be fair with all 11 starters returning and the level of experience on that side of the ball, it's gonna take a while for the offense to get up to speed. Still, good to see the cornerbacks gelling well.

Stay tuned, and let us know what you're seeing either at camp or online.

Forgot to mention the NFL Network is going wall-to-wall with Rams coverage. Started 10 minutes ago. Should be well worth our time.
