The Rams head to Nashville to take on the Titans in a nationally televised preseason warmup that should start putting things in context.
Where is the offensive line headed? The key here is inexperience. It's so difficult to gauge any projections on the line because LG Rodger Saffold is the only starter with much experience. Greg Robinson's 12 starts practically make him a weathered veteran.
Who's ready to step up? This is generally the point where some of the standout rookies and new additions have gotten into the flow of camp and start making plays in game action. Second half heroes are going to make the cuts. Some of them are going to start creeping up the depth chart and into earlier game action. Sunday might be the first curve on the path.
Is the defense on track for week one? In two and a half weeks, the Rams will be prepping for the Seattle Seahawks' arrival to kick off the regular season. There's just no excuses on this side of the ball. Everything needs to be clicking after the Rams' final preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 3. For a head coach with a long history of slow starts, this unit has to be ready for week one. Has to.

Injury report
Again, we're still in unofficial injury wasteland. That means no official update on LG Rodger Saffold or LB Daren Bates. Going off of reports, it'd be roughly WR Isaiah Ferguson (?), RB Todd Gurley (knee), DE Chris Long (back), CB Brandon McGee (foot), TE Brad Smelley (hand), LB Korey Toomer (ankle), OG Cody Wichmann (calf) and DT Doug Worthington (?) to go with Saffold and Bates. Smelley made it into practice though, so he's one of those automatic probables.
