The St. Louis Rams get their 2015 schedule underway tomorrow night against the Oakland Raiders in what should offer an interesting first real look at the Rams' 90-man roster.
With the starters, it sounds like new QB Nick Foles will only see one or two series while some of the younger guys, especially on the offensive line, may get some extended time. If nothing else, we'll at least get the first setting on the barometer of how the offensive line holds up against, at least what was last year, one of the weaker pass rush units in the league. Defensively, it shouldn't be much to ask to get a series or two without giving up a touchdown. Last year's 52-0 drubbing was one of those rare instances when it all came together way too perfectly for the Rams. That may have set the bar too high, but it's not out of bounds to at least demand success early.
Beyond that, it's time to see how the depth is shaking out. It's one of the core functions of the preseason and training camp. Yay fourth quarter preseason football.
