It’s Time For the Rams to Turn the Corner |  Yahoo! Sports

Shutdown Corner is previewing all 32 teams as we get ready for the NFL season, counting down the teams one per day in reverse order of our initial 2015 power rankings. No. 1 will be revealed on Aug. 8, the day before the preseason begins with the Hall of Fame Game in Canton.

If Kroenke Builds It, Will They Come? |  St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Earlier this week, Emily Kaplan of the Monday Morning Quarterback at SI.com. wrote a piece about the likely return of an NFL team to Los Angeles. The story included many comments from LA-area fans. And before the NFL even gets to Los Angeles, there's apathy.

Five Rams On the Bubble |  Yard Barker

Who are five players on the St. Louis Rams who could be on the roster bubble when the final roster is constructed?

The Rams’ former quarterback Sam Bradford has had a rough couple years. He’s had to battle two consecutive torn ACL’s in the same knee, fresh new crops of doe-eyed wide receivers, a revolving door at offensive coordinator and no real talent to block for him. But it was his inability to stay healthy that ultimately forced the Rams to make a move for Nick Foles.

It was all good just a year ago for former Wildcat quarterback Nick Foles when he was a darling in Philadelphia and an up-and-coming star in the NFL.

Before the St. Louis Rams report for training camp next week, we're taking a look at five players returning to the team who will need to provide more if the team is going to be a playoff contender in 2015.

Countdown to Camp: Linebackers |  St. Louis Rams’ Official Site

In our second installment of Countdown to Camp, team insider Myles Simmons takes a look at the Rams’ linebacking corps.

After never attempting a regular season pass in his career and entering training camp as the third-string quarterback, Austin Davis started eight games for the St. Louis Rams last season.

The St. Louis Rams haven’t made the playoffs since 2004, the current third longest playoff drought of any team in the NFL. They trail only the Buffalo Bills, who haven’t made the playoffs since 1999, and the Oakland Raiders, who haven’t made the playoffs since their Super Bowl appearance in 2002.

ICYMI at Turf Show Times...

*  Jersey sales are sluggish in Missouri...but not in Alaska!

*  Why the Rams will succeed...and why they’ll fail.

*  The Rams are finishing 10-6 in 2015...because you said so.
