53 man roster predictions

With the 2015 Rams roster preview an full gears I decided I will give my take on who will make the Rams 53 man roster. Over the years Fisher/Snead as added depth to this team that it both amazing and terrible that the Rams can afford to let some potential talented players walk. So let's give this a try and see if I can get it right for who's making the roster.

OFFENSE

QB: Nick Foles(Starter), Case Keenum, Sean Mannion. (3). Two of three names on the list don't need to be mentioned Foles and Mannion. I have Keenum beating out Davis, both brings starting experience but Keenum to me brings more to the team and would protect the ball better in key situations.

RB: Todd Gurley(Starter)*PUP*, Tre Mason, Benny Cunningham, Malcolm Brown, Chase Reynolds. (5). First off I know I have 5 running backs listed but for the first 6 weeks Gurley would not count against the roster, once he comes back I have Reynolds being released. This was a tough one with Gurley possibly being ready to start the season but I have the Rams continue to take it slow with him. Brown I see this basically being a longer tryout for him, this spot would have went to Watt if it wasn't for his suspension. (4).

TE/FB: Jared Cook(Starter), Lance Kendricks, Alex Bayer, Corey Harkey(FB/TE). (4). Three of the four listed don't need to be mentioned Cook, Kendricks, and Harkey. I have Bayer beating out Justice Cunningham as they both are good blockers but Bayer brings more out of the two in the passing game.

WR: Kenny Britt(Starter), Brian Quick(Starter), Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, Chris Givens. (5). This is the easiest position group to predict, the only other outcome is if Bradley Marquez or Isiah Ferguson have a surprising camp and beats out Givens.

OL: Greg Robinson(Starter), Rodger Saffold(Starter), Barrett Jones(Starter), Jamon Brown(Starter), Rob Havenstein(Starter), Andrew Donnal, Cody Wichmann, Tim Barnes, Garrett Reynolds, Isaiah Battle. (10). With so many young guys I feel the Rams will carry 10 offensive lineman. I have Wichmann making it because as the only true guard on the team he fits what the Rams want to do on offense with his physical play, and they won't risk placing Battle on practice squad and risk losing him.

DEFENSE

DL: Robert Quinn(Starter), Aaron Donald(Starter), Michael Brockers(Starter), Chris Long(Starter), William Hayes, Eugene Sims, Nick Fairley, Louis Trinca-Pasat, Ethan Westbrook. (9). The only real question is who between Trinca-Pasat, Westbrook, and Ifedi takes the final two spots from this position group.

LB: Akeem Ayers(Starter), James Laurinaitis(Starter), Alec Ogletree(Starter), Daren Bates, Bryce Hager, Cameron Lynch. (6). I have Hager and Lynch making it as younger depth over Dunbar and the special teams ability that they brings.

DB: Janoris Jenkins(Starter), E.J Gaines(Starter), T.J McDonald(Starter), Rodney McLeod(Starter), Trumaine Johnson, Marcus Roberson, Lamarcus Joyner, Mark Barron, Mo Alexander. (9). There is no real surprise here.

SPECIAL TEAMS

K: Greg Zuerlein. (1). No need to comment.

P: Johnny Hekker. (1). Again no need to comment.

LS: Jake McQuaide. (1). No need to comment.

PRACTICE SQUAD

Bradley Marquez, Isiah Ferguson, Demetrius Rhaney, Jacob Hagen, Martin Ifedi, Christian Bryant, Darrell Williams, Jay Hughes. (8).
