2015 St. Louis Rams Roster: Rams Sign Rookie 6th Round WR Bud Sasser

The St. Louis Rams have signed their first player from the 2015 NFL Draft, but the rest of the class should be signed sooner than later.

The St. Louis Rams have signed their first draftee of the 2015 NFL Draft, sixth round wide receiver Bud Sasser from the University of Missouri. Sasser contract is for four years and the financial specifics of the contract are not currently known.

Sasser had a solid season in his final season playing as a Misouri Tiger catching 77 passes and 12 touchdowns. Sasser had poor quarterback play, but with Dorial Green-Beckham (who was drafted in the 2nd round)  suspended for the seasonthe Rams new receiver was able to have his best season of his career. Now as a college prospect he was not able to gain a lot of seperation against corners and a lot of scouts mention that although he is 6'3 he is more suited for the slot. Sasser will compete with a crowded receiving corp as he tried to make a name for himself.

The Rams signing Sasser is a mild surprise since the Rams usually sign all of their draft picks on the same day, which means that more than likely the rest of the rookies should be signed by the end of the week. With the Rams starting OTAs on Tuesday the team is right on schedule for signing their rookies based on head coach Jeff Fisher's preference in teaching his rookies how to be responsible professional NFL players.
