The NFL Draft is always full of surprises, year after year it never fails. In the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft there were a couple of quick surprises early on - like defensive linemen Leonard Williams falling to the New York Jets and even the Washington Redskins pulled a slight surprise drafting OL Brandon Scherff.
The biggest surprise was the St. Louis Rams drafting running back Todd Gurley with the 10th pick of the NFL Draft. The feelings of drafting Gurley was all of the place - many thought that the Rams had other needs to draft first, before going running back.
Here are the hot takes from Twitter.

Todd Gurley says he is a little surprised. He says he won't put a timetable on return, but it's realistic he could play opening day.— Frank Cusumano (@Frank_Cusumano) May 1, 2015
I love the pick. If the knee is alright, Todd Gurley is going to be the offensive rookie of the year. #Rams— Mike Greenberg (@Espngreeny) May 1, 2015
I've always wondered if Todd Gurley could gain 100 yards in a game without an offensive line. And now, we'll find out!— Doug Farrar (@SI_DougFarrar) May 1, 2015
Welcome to LA (in about ten months), Todd Gurley!!!— Dave Dameshek (@Dameshek) May 1, 2015

After calming down, I still don't like the pick, but I like Gurley a lot. Have to think Barksdale is back, Blalock in the pipeline #Rams— Brennan Smith (@BrennanJSmith) May 1, 2015
Jeff Fisher’s goal is to never score more than 16 points a game. I’m so ready for him to get fired.— Hawk (@HawkWayOfLife) May 1, 2015
#Rams offense has sucked for so long and I'm supposed to be mad they took generational RB talent? Value be damned, kick rocks.— Soul of Sam (@_BMule) May 1, 2015
