The free-fall continues....
Reports suggest LSU OL La'el Collins is not likely to be drafted in the 2015 NFL Draft as Baton Rouge police are waiting until after the draft to formally question Collins in regards to the murder of his ex-girlfriend, a crime he is not suspected in being involved with. After applying to be included in the supplemental draft, ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed that the NFL denied his request:
NFL rejected La'el Collins' request to be removed from draft until police complete murder investigation, per source. No supp draft for him.

Once thought of as an option for the Rams at #10, Collins could now be staring at being an Undrafted Free Agent if these rumors ring true. However, there is a lot of smoke being blown this time of year.
One thing is for certain... he's not going to be selected anywhere near where he was projected to be drafted last week. The timing of this situation will likely cost him millions, and could set a precedent for how teams handle off-field situations.
This is another wrinkle in a draft loaded with plots and sub-plots.
