Told Cowboys, Texans, Cardinals have been calling St Louis Rams trying to strike a deal for Michael Brockers. Dolphins also interested.
— Tony Pauline (@TonyPauline) April 30, 2015
Just yesterday, we got the first sniff of the Michael Brockers rumor with Scott Bischoff pegging the Lions, Cowboys & Texans and Benjamin Allbright tagging the Bears. Today, that has morphed into the Cowboys, Texans, Cardinals and Dolphins. Rumors are fluid things, you see.
Two notes.
One, Rams COO Kevin Demoff poured water on the whole idea yesterday, which depending on how you feel about this things either makes it more realistic or less.
Two, and this perhaps relates to how you feel about team officials and water pouring, don't forget how the Sam Bradford trade morphed, if you're buying the oral history at this point. Out of nowhere, the initial rumor popped up at the combine. That rumor pushed the Eagles, and other teams, to get involved in active discussions with the Rams. The rumor itself on Brockers may have started out of nothing, but could propel the possibility of a trade into action.
In any case, the Rams are all over the rumor map right now as we near the 1st round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
