2015 NFL Draft Trade Rumor: St. Louis Rams To Swap 1st Round Picks With Miami Dolphins

Very early on Thursday morning, NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah dropped a draft rumor on the Twitter world. Could the St. Louis Rams be trading down?

If you like rumors and speculation, then today is your day.  It’s already started, and it’s all over twitter.  Are the Eagles going to "mortgage their future" to land Marcus Mariota?  Is Sam Bradford going to be an Eagle by the end of the day  Time will tell.

For the St. Louis Rams, the option of trading up/down on draft day has always been a possibility.  There are several players they’ve been linked to, but there’s no guarantee the majority of them will be available at 10.  According to NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah, the Rams and another NFL team [Miami Dolphins] might be suitors for a draft day swap...

The Rams, as aforementioned, are picking 10th.  The Dolphins are slotted to pick 14th, so it’s not all that far of a drop.  St. Louis gets some much needed offensive line help - in the way of Miami offensive tackle Ereck Flowers - and Miami gets Louisville’s DeVante Parker.  A win-win for both parties!

The Rams would obviously be the bigger beneficiary, at least in terms of picks, in this scenario.  But exactly what that would be, like everything else right now, is speculation.  If the Rams could gain another 2nd round pick, this moves seems like a no-brainer.

That is, assuming Flowers is available following the New York Giants’ selection at 9.  Not so fast...
Stay tuned to Turf Show Times today.  This may be the first Draft Day rumor, but it’s not likely to be the last.
