According to ESPN NFL Reporter Field Yates, St. Louis Rams’ safety Rodney McLeod is one of three NFL players to receive a restricted free agent tender.

The Rams would receive a 2nd round pick as compensation if McLeod were to sign elsewhere. They’d have the chance to match the offer, should another team find it reasonable to pay McLeod and cough up the draft pick. The Rams, in all likelihood, would show little interest in matching any offer though. They’ve only got five picks in April’s draft, and a[nother] second round pick could certainly help them address more dire needs.
Rodney McLeod is worth a 2nd round pick. Brandon Marshall is worth a 5th. Got it.
