Garrett Reynolds arrived in St Louis on a visit today, and he's sticking around for at least the 2015 season. A 5th round pick in the 2009 draft, Reynolds stuck in Atlanta for 5 years before being released. The 27 year old has some flexibility and played both RT and RG last year -starting 4- after being picked up by Detroit. He has started 27 games in his 6 year career.
Since it's now legal for teams to announce deals, naturally the terms for the deal were not released. But he made $730K last year so I'd venture to guess it isn't a cap killer. He's likely an upgrade over Davin Joseph, but not a long term answer at the position.
Reynolds has a history playing for Rams OL Coach Paul Boudreau from his time in Atlanta. That will likely mean that he has a leg up on any competition for the RG spot. One has to wonder what this means for Barrett Jones, 'Bama's former do-it-all OL. Does this show that Fisher's patience is waning with Jones' development?
What's next for the Rams? They are likely still pursuing Joe Barksdale, but there has been no news from Barks camp since he made the decision to test Free Agency. Hopefully that changes soon. I think we'd all sleep better knowing Barks would be returning to Rams Park.
