2015 NFL Mock Draft: Two New NFL.com Mocks Show OL/WR Split For St. Louis Rams

Well, at least the conventional wisdom is setting in.

Two new mocks from NFL.com have the Rams set up a familiar situation. As I mentioned from our last mock discussion over Kadar's new offering with the Rams still pegged to LSU OL La'el Collins, the conventional wisdom is cementing around the Rams either going for offensive line help or a new wide receiver toy for Nick Foles to play with. The two NFL mocks, from Daniel Jeremiah (former NFL scout) and Charlie Casserly (former NFL GM), are only making the CW more clear.

# Team Jeremiah Mock POS team Casserly Mock POS team
1 Tampa Bay Jameis Winston QB Florida St. Jameis Winston QB Florida St.
2 Tennessee Leonard Williams DL USC Leonard Williams DL USC
3 Jacksonville Dante Fowler DE Florida Dante Fowler DE Florida
4 Oakland Amari Cooper WR Alabama Kevin White WR West Virginia
5 Washington Randy Gregory DE Nebraska Randy Gregory DE Nebraska
6 New York Jets Shane Ray DE Missouri TRADE to Cleveland - Marcus Mariota QB Oregon
7 Chicago Marcus Mariota QB Oregon Danny Shelton DT Washington
8 Atlanta Vic Beasley OLB Clemson Shane Ray DE Missouri
9 New York Giants Brandon Scherff OT Iowa Andrus Peat OT Stanford

Jeremiah has them going WR:

Kevin White (WR, West Virginia)

I know Tavon Austin hasn't worked out as well as the Rams would've hoped, but that shouldn't discourage the selection on another West Virginia wideout.

Casserly takes the other side of the coin with an OT:

Ereck Flowers (OT, Miami)

After drafting LT Greg Robinson last year, the Rams need to address their right side.

Cementing indeed.
