Yesterday, we picked up on the Jim Thomas news nugget that the Rams had reached out to Nick Fairley.
Now, we're taking it up a notch.
Nick Fairley is on his way to visit the #Rams after spending yesterday with the #Bengals. Imagine that St. Louis D-Line…

Imagine indeed.
Fairley's just 27, so he's just now really hitting full stride. He totaled 11.5 sacks in 2012 and 2013 playing alongside Ndamukong Suh, After a mid-season knee injury, Fairley was shut down for 2014. He's reportedly in game-ready condition...not to mention being in shape, which has been a legit issue early in his career.
But on talent alone, Fairley's at a minimum a capable starting defensive tackle. To put him in a rotation with Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers at defensive tackle, to say nothing of the Rams' defensive ends, is an enticing proposition indeed.
