Ex-Rams O-Lineman Mike Person Signs With Falcons

The Rams have thinned out their O-line since the end of the season. Add one on top of that.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Michael "Mike" Person "The Person" joined the Rams in September of 2013, but was dropped to inactive status after just two games. His arrival was preceded by a trio of jaunts around the league in San Francisco, Indianapolis and most immediately in Seattle. Despite the lack of action before 2014, he featured in every game either on the line or in special teams work. That won't happen any longer, at least for St. Louis.

Person was picked up by Atlanta who's bringing him in for depth at tackle and guard, his two positions of experience.

The move becomes less about Person for the Rams and more about their immediate issue on the offensive line. With Joe Barksdale currently floating about the free agent market, the Rams are THIN up front:

Right now, that's a situation that stands out among all others. The Rams have a left tackle in Greg Robinson, a left guard in Rodger Saffold and a lot of work to do.

Active offseason already in the books. More activity ahead.
