Things are off and running in Indy.
Les Snead will be taking the podium in a couple of hours; you can find the entire speaking schedule here. As I type this, Arizona GM Steve Keim is on the mic as the seventh speaker of the day, so there's plenty of nuggets being dropped.
SBN has four guys on the ground in RVB (SBN NFL, ex-TST), Dan Kadar (MTD), Danny Kelly (Field Gulls) and Tex Western (Acme Packing Co.). Worth a Twitter follow if you're into that kind of thing.
Here's where we're at in the schedule:
Day 1 Arrivals | Group 1 (PK, ST, OL)/Group 2 (OL)/Group 3 (TE) |
Tuesday, 17 February | Registration, Pre-Exam, X-Rays, Orientation, Interviews |
Wednesday, 18 February | Measurements, Medical Examinations, Media, Interviews |
Day 2 Arrivals | Group 4 (QB, WR)/Group 5 (QB, WR)/Group 6 (RB) |
Wednesday, 18 February | Registration, Pre-Exam, X-Rays, Orientation, Interviews |
The medical side and interviews are the most important part of the combine, though fans don't really get any info there. The first on-field workouts come on Friday with Groups 1-3.
We should be hearing the O-line measurements soon, which is always something you can dig into a bit when you talk about wingspan and hand size.
Open thread it up, folks.
