Based on the 2014 records of each NFL team, the Rams will, as usual, have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL. According to CBS Sports, the Pittsburgh Steelers will play the NFL’s most difficult slate. The Atlanta Falcons have the easiest.
For the Rams, it comes with the territory. And that territory is winning in a very tough NFC West. It’s nothing the Rams aren’t already familiar with though. The Rams - who have the 6th toughest schedule in 2015 - have grown used to life atop the NFL’s strength of schedule rankings.
* In 2014, the Rams had the 3rd toughest schedule, facing opponents with a .564 win record
* In 2013, the Rams had the 4th toughest schedule, facing opponents with a .539 win record
* In 2012, the Rams had the 4th toughest schedule, facing opponents with a .523 win record
It wasn’t until 2011 that the Rams fell out of the Top 10. In that year, they held the league’s 7th easiest schedule [.477]. They also went 2-14 that season.
Regardless of the win percentages of their upcoming opponents, the Rams must find a way to put together a winning season in 2015; something they haven’t done since 2003.
