We've got just two today, but four each day in the run-up to New Year's Eve and the playoffs...
Military Bowl (2:30pm ET, ESPN)
Pittsburgh (8-4, ACC) v. Navy (10-2, AAC)
From an NFL standpoint, this is entirely about Pitt WR Tyler Boyd. Navy RB Keenan Reynolds and FB Chris Swain are training camp options, but service requirements could scare teams away. Boyd, though, is a legit early option who could sneak into the first round.
His dip in production is largely an issue concerning the talent around him. Pitt's a young team that's going to need some more time for first-year Head Coach Pat Narduzzi to build out. He spent nearly a decade as Michigan State's defensive coordinator, so they'll be looking to the next few seasons for bigger and better results.
Rams fans should know well from Aaron Donald how important it is to keep an eye on a program like Pitt...
Quick Lane Bowl (5pm ET, ESPN2)
Central Michigan (7-5, MAC) v. Minnesota (5-7, Big Ten)
Ok, fine. I won't build this one up.
Central Michigan FS Kavon Frazier might be the only NFLer out of this class for CMU while Minnesota's two cornerbacks, Briean Boddy-Calhoun and Eric Murray, could creep into the top of Day 3 with OLB De'Vondre Campbell and DE Theiren Cockran helping staff the back end.
Tomorrow, it gets real. So perhaps today is the day to enjoy bowl football for unbridled emotions.
