St. Louis Rams DT Aaron Donald has been named the Week 14 NFC Defensive Player of the Week:

Donald had five tackles, three sacks and six total QB hits in the Rams' 21-14 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday bringing his season totals to 59 and 11, respectively. Those numbers are up from his rookie campaign which he finished with 47 tackles and nine sacks. His 11 this year make him the first Rams DT with 10+ sacks since D'Marco Farr's 11.5 in 1995, the franchise record for a defensive tackle.
Donald won the award after Week 1 this season for his 11-tackle, two-sack performance in the Rams' 34-31 season-opening win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Donald got his first start in Week 6 of his rookie season because Jeff Fisher.
