The St. Louis Rams have announced the signing of  veteran receiver Wes Welker. The Rams and Welker were discussing terms during Jeff Fisher press conference, then later on during the press conference Fisher confirmed the news of the signing.

The Rams were down a receiver after the news of Stedman Bailey's four game-suspension, the Rams worked out Welker along with Vincent Brown and Hakeem Nicks earlier on Monday prior the suspension news going public.

The details of Welkers' contract has also been revealed.

The 34-year-old receiver has had multiple concussions in the past and is more than likely the reason why he was a free agent for so long. Last season the veteran receiver caught 49 passes for 464 yards and two touchdowns.
