Per ESPN's Adam Caplan, the St. Louis Rams will hold workouts for veteran WRs Wes Welker, Vincent Brown and Hakeem Nicks today.
Welker, 34 years old, rose to prominence with the New England Patriots from 2007 to 2012. Last season with the Denver Broncos, he caught 49 passes for 464 yards and two touchdowns.
Brown was a third-round pick for the San Diego Chargers in the 2011 NFL Draft. Just 26, he was a promising young player, though he flamed out last year with the Oakland Raiders.
Nicks flashed early in his career with the New York Giants. At 27 years of age, he likely has football left in him, though he caught just 28 passes for 405 yards last year with the Indianapolis Colts.
The Rams previously worked out a crop of young WRs earlier this season, including Nick Toon. Toon was ultimately signed and is currently stashed on the practice squad.
