St. Louis Rams At Minnesota Vikings: Initial Injury Report Triples Up On DEs

In arguably their biggest game of the season thus far, the Rams head to Minneapolis to take on the Vikings. And now, they've got injury concerns to worry about.

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL calendar is littered with attrition.

Each week threatens to take out starters by the knee, by the ankle, by the head. Already, the Rams have lost CB E.J. Gaines, G Rodger Saffold and OLB Alec Ogletree to IR.

And while the Rams aren't facing any new injuries of that magnitude, there are obvious concerns as they head north to face the Minnesota Vikings this week:

Name POS Injury Wed. Status
Chris Long DE Knee DNP
Robert Quinn DE Knee DNP
William Hayes DE Thigh DNP
Chase Reynolds RB Thigh DNP
Rob Havenstein T Ankle DNP
Tre Mason RB Ankle Limited
T.J. McDonald S Foot Limited

Now most of those names were on the last week's injury report going into the Week 8 game against San Francisco. And with all of them active on Sunday save for Chris Long, this is likely just precautionary.

Still...to see three defensive ends out at the top of the report is not fun. And I know fun. (fun is a band, look it up)

As for the Vikes:

Name POS Injury Wed. Status
Anthony Barr LB Low Back DNP
Joe Berger C Chest DNP
Eric Kendricks LB Ribs DNP
Sharrif Floyd DT Knee/Ankle DNP
Stefon Diggs WR Hamstring DNP
Justin Trattou DE Foot Limited
Everson Griffen DE Neck Limited
Tom Johnson DT Knee Limited
Audie Cole LB Finger Limited
Rhett Ellison TE Concussion Full
T.J. Clemmings T Neck Full

Speaking of not fun, 11 names is likely not the length Minnesota fans wanted to see today especially with Barr, Kendricks, Floyd and Diggs all sitting out.

Hypothetical injury report coming tomorrow.
