St. Louis Rams Vs. Chicago Bears: Hypothetical Thursday Injury Report Shows Progress...Kinda

Today's not injury report sets up for a huge official report out tomorrow.

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Hmm...

Name POS Injury Wed. Status Thu. Status
Chris Long DE Knee DNP DNP
T.J. McDonald S Foot DNP DNP
Robert Quinn DE Knee DNP Limited
Rob Havenstein T Ankle DNP Limited
Akeem Ayers LB Illness DNP Full
Todd Gurley RB Coach's Decision - Rest DNP Full
Chase Reynolds RB Thigh Full Full

Well, that's good news for Quinn and Havenstein...even if it is fake. Hard to understand what this means.

Does it mean that Quinn and Havenstein sat out Tuesday and got the limited participation in yesterday? Or does it mean that they were held out the last two days but would have been limited participants had there been practice today? The fine print according to the team suggests the latter...but that's tough to believe with much credibility.

In any case, here's the Bears' side of things:

Name POS Injury Wed. Status Thu. Status
Alshon Jeffery WR Groin -- DNP
Mitch Unrein DT Illness -- DNP
Eddie Royal WR Knee DNP DNP
Pernell McPhee LB Knee DNP DNP
Tracy Porter CB Hip -- Limited
Antrel Rolle S Ankle DNP Limited
Hroniss Grasu C Neck Limited Limited
Matt Forte RB Knee Limited Limited
Jermon Bushrod T Shoulder Limited Limited
Shea McClellin LB Knee Limited Limited
Robbie Gould K Illness DNP Full

The Alshon groin issue obviously jumps out. Whatever it was, the Bears aren't giving up whether or not it means he's unavailable Sunday...though it certainly sounds like they're preparing for having to play without him.

We'll have the official game injury report when it's released tomorrow.
