Don't look now but the Rams are over the .500 mark. Jeff Fisher has had his squad string together consecutive victories for the first time this season - albeit against current NFL doormats. The first 2 games of the easiest stretch of their schedule has gone swimmingly, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are turning a corner either.
With apologies to Tavon Austin and Todd Gurley, the Rams offense as a unit was and has been painful to watch. A lack of 3rd Down conversions is frightening. The Rams went 1-12 on 3rd down today. While they were able to capitalize with a few explosive plays and turn field position into points, that HAS to improve if they are truly going to contend for a playoff spot.
The Defense was exactly as advertised again today. They forced key stops and pressured Colin Kaepernick all day in route to holding the division cellar dwellers to 189 total yards. Replacements stepped up in a big way and showcased the depth on the defensive side as well.
So celebrate the win Rams fans. But you should also be praying that the offense can get it's act together.
