2015 NFL Mock Draft: Winston Sliding, Rams Stick to O-line

A new mock draft from MTD's Dan Kadar puts the Rams in an uncomfortable position...

Time for more mockery, today from Mocking the Draft's Dan Kadar.

Let's start with a look at the top nine and see who's off the board for the Rams:

# Team Pick POS School
1 Tampa Bay Marcus Mariota QB Oregon
2 Tennessee Leonard Williams DL USC
3 Jacksonville Randy Gregory DE Nebraska
4 Oakland DeVante Parker WR Louisville
5 Washington Vic Beasley OLB Clemson
6 New York Jets Jameis Winston QB Florida St.
7 Chicago Dante Fowler DE Florida
8 Atlanta Shane Ray DE Missouri
9 Minnesota Shaq Thompson OLB Washington

- This raises the big question for the Rams. If one of the top two QBs in Mariota or Winston begin sliding, how far do they have to slide before the Rams seriously consider trading up? Moving up four spots wouldn't be all that costly. Remember, the Cowboys traded with the Rams in the 2012 NFL Draft moving up to take Morris Claiborne at 6 from the 14th spot. All they had to give up was their 2nd round slot at 45th overall. Granted, the price might be higher for a quarterback, but would the Rams' second rounder be enough to go from ten to six? Would that be worth it for a shiny new 1st round rookie QB?

- This might be an otherwise dream scenario for the Rams with all the defenders off the board. This leaves all the offensive linemen, all the wide receivers save for Parker...this might be asking for too much.

- And keep an eye on the wide receiver stock fluctuation. Between Parker, Amari Cooper (Alabama), Kevin White(West Virginia) and Jaelen Strong (Arizona St.), we're going to see every mock draft permutation.

So with all the options at 10, Kadar's mock to the Rams is:

La'el Collins (OT, LSU)

No change from Kadar's last mock to the Rams, but the options there made it a more interesting call. Last time, Cooper and Brandon Scherff (OT, Iowa) were already off the board by the time the Rams were up.

In any case, it's a reiteration of what the Rams need (offensive line help) and a key prospect who brings versatility and run game skills to the table.
