2015 Senior Bowl: Preview, Weigh-Ins, Rosters

Draft season is a go.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

We're underway in Mobile with the 2015 Senior Bowl.

The game isn't until Saturday, but with the measurements taking place this morning things are moving along.

Here are some of the major storylines I'll be tracking.

QB Risers

Six quarterbacks are attending this year's event: Shane Carden (East Carolina), Garrett Grayson (Colorado St.), Sean Mannion (Oregon St.), Nick Marshall (Auburn), Bryce Petty (Baylor) and Blake Sims (Alabama). Who, if any, will launch a postseason campaign to establish some buzz as a potential first-round pick? I would suggest Marshall and Sims don't have any chance at doing just that, but I could see a way for each of the other four to capture the headlines this week and see their draft stock explode.

With just Sam Bradford as the only QB on the roster (and therefore none who could start a game today...), this leads the way for the Rams' interests this week.

O-line Leaders

We've seen the mocks. Offensive line help is certainly going to be in play for the Rams in this draft. This is a great week not only to see the consensus leaders but also some of the small school guys. OT Ty Sambrailo's coming out of Colorado St. He hasn't had a ton of experience going up against NFL-caliber talent. Same goes for G Robert Myers who's in Mobile this week out of FCS-level Tennessee St. This is, for many NFL teams, their first real look at some of these guys. First impressions are a thing.

Heaters

Last year, a relatively lesser known prospect out of Pitt came to Mobile and shredded up practices. Three months and some later, the Rams had Aaron Donald's services secured. Who's going to be the player who steamrolls this week? How will that impact teams' needs and draft boards?

Today's practices run from 12:15 to 2:15 for the North squad and 2:30 to 4:30 for the South.
