Power Rankings Summary, Week 1: The Beginninning

From whence you came...

Morne de Klerk

And down the hole we go...

As always, if there's a power ranking you think merits inclusion, let me know and I'll start putting it in.

Average ranking (# of rankings) 19.88 (8)
Highest ranking (source) 14th (Yahoo! Sports)
Lowest ranking (source) 24th (ESPN)

SB Nation: 20th

Losing Sam Bradford for the season was a huge blow to the Rams' playoff hopes this season. But this team is built on the premise of playing an aggressive style of defense behind Robert Quinn and running the ball. That part hasn't changed. Will it be enough for the Rams to surprise.

ESPN: 24th

Before Sam Bradford's Week 7 injury last year, only Peyton Manning and Matthew Stafford had better TD-Int differentials than Bradford (plus-10). Now, it's Shaun Hill's show in St. Louis.

NFL.com: 23rd

Is it possible we're all underestimating Shaun Hill? His teams have gone 13-13 in the games he's started, and he does have a career touchdown-to-interception ratio of 41:23. Those are hardly bad numbers. Sure, losing Sam Bradford for the year to yet another knee injury sucked. But give his replacement a shot.

CBS Sports (Prisco): 20th

Losing Sam Bradford is a big blow. But I think with the way Jeff Fisher wants to play, Shaun Hill will do OK.

CBS Sports (Kirwan): 20th

Like Tampa Bay, this team looks poised to make a move. The problems are their division and the loss of Sam Bradford. Some would have you believe journeyman Shaun Hill can get the job done. I like Hill but he's thrown just 16 passes in the last three seasons.

Yahoo! Sports: 14th

Tough to move them too far. I didn't think all that much of Sam Bradford before his second ACL injury, so moving them down because of the switch to Shaun Hill doesn't seem right.

Pro Football Talk: 20th

Fox Sports: 18th

The Rams can make an argument for being one of the best teams in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Unfortunately, journeyman quarterback Shaun Hill will now have to lead the team and there’s little recent game tape to believe that this is a real possibility.
