2015 NFL Draft: Week 3 Open Thread

A soft schedule today may open some better position battles and perhaps a few upsets.

Scott Cunningham

Well, today's not the best Saturday schedule of the season. Plenty of others top today, but that's often where the best scouting comes in.

I've got three games on the watchlist today.

#6 Georgia at #24 South Carolina (ABC, 3:30pm)
Todd Gurley RB Jr. Georgia 1st-2nd
Jordan Jenkins OLB Jr. Georgia 2nd-3rd
Ramik Wilson ILB Sr. Georgia 3rd-5th
Malcolm Mitchell (i) WR RS Jr. Georgia 3rd-UD
John Theus OT Jr. Georgia 4th-6th
Leonard Floyd OLB RS Soph. Georgia 4th-6th (↑)
Marshall Morgan K Jr. Georgia 5th-7th
Ray Drew DE Sr. Georgia 5th-UD (↓)
Damian Swann CB Sr. Georgia 5th-UD
David Andrews C Sr. Georgia 6th-UD
Michael Bennett WR RS Sr. Georgia 6th-UD
Chris Mayes DT RS Jr. Georgia 6th-UD
Hutson Mason QB RS Sr. Georgia 6th-UD (↑)
A.J. Cann G RS Sr. South Carolina 1st-2nd
Mike Davis RB Jr. South Carolina 1st-2nd
Corey Robinson OT RS Sr. South Carolina 2nd-4th
Brandon Shell OT RS Jr. South Carolina 3rd-5th
Shaq Roland WR Jr. South Carolina 3rd-5th
J.T. Surratt DT RS Sr. South Carolina 4th-6th
Kaiwan Lewis LB Jr. South Carolina 4th-6th
Cody Waldrop C RS Soph. South Carolina 4th-6th
Rory Anderson TE Sr. South Carolina 4th-6th (↑)
Jordan Diggs S/LB RS Soph. South Carolina 5th-7th (↑)
Chaz Elder FS RS Soph. South Carolina 5th-UD
Rico McWilliams CB RS Soph. South Carolina 6th-UD (↑)
Kadetrix Marcus FS Sr. South Carolina UD (↓)

Here's the game of the day for me, featuring two teams that were in the watchlist in week one. Not much to say here. Ranked SEC matchup. If you need more, I can't give it.

Tennessee at #4 Oklahoma (ABC/ESPN/ESPN2, 8:00pm)
A.J. Johnson ILB Sr. Tennessee 2nd-3rd
Curt Maggitt DE/LB RS Jr. Tennessee 5th-6th
LaDarrell McNeil S Jr. Tennessee 5th-7th
Brian Randolph SS RS Jr. Tennessee 5th-7th
Justin Coleman CB Sr. Tennessee 6th-UD
Marlin Lane, Jr. RB Sr. Tennessee 7th-UD
Dorial Green-Beckham (t) WR RS Jr. Oklahoma 1st-2nd
Frank Shannon (s) LB RS Jr. Oklahoma 2nd-3rd
Eric Striker OLB Jr. Oklahoma 2nd-4th
Geneo Grissom OLB RS Sr. Oklahoma 3rd-4th
Zack Sanchez CB RS Soph. Oklahoma 3rd-4th
Tyrus Thompson OT RS Sr. Oklahoma 3rd-5th
Daryl Williams RT RS Sr. Oklahoma 4th-6th
Adam Shead G RS Sr. Oklahoma 5th-7th
Sterling Shepard WR Jr. Oklahoma 5th-7th
Julian Wilson CB RS Sr. Oklahoma 6th-UD
Blake Bell TE RS Sr. Oklahoma 6th-UD
Trevor Knight QB RS Soph. Oklahoma 6th-UD
Chuka Ndulue DT RS Sr. Oklahoma 7th-UD

The two best prospects on Oklahoma are out for the season, DGB on a transfer delay and Shannon on suspension, so it lacks some of the punch it might have had for the 2015 draft. Still, there's plenty here.

Nevada at Arizona (PAC-12, 11:00pm)
Cody Fajardo QB RS Sr. Nevada 2nd-3rd
Alex Bertrando OLB RS Soph. Nevada 5th-7th
Hasaan Henderson WR/TE RS Soph. Nevada 6th-7th
Brock Hekking DE RS Sr. Nevada 6th-UD
Lenny Jones DE RS Jr. Nevada 7th-UD
Ian Seau DE RS Jr. Nevada 7th-UD
Austin Hill WR RS Sr. Arizona 2nd-4th
Tra'Mayne Bondurant (s) SS Sr. Arizona 6th-UD

Fajardo's tough to evaluate this year as he's not got much around him to work with. But you might not get a look at either much this year unless you catch Arizona against the big Pac-12 teams.
