Rams vs. Dolphins, NFL preseason 2014: Game time, TV schedule, online streaming, announcers, odds and more

The Rams are in Miami to wrap up the preseason on Thursday night.

Fresh off a first round of cuts and a costly exhibition game in Cleveland, the St. Louis Rams traveled to Miami this week to wrap up the preseason with their fourth meaningless game.

Getting a meaningful dose of reps against the Dolphins will be newly installed starting quarterback Shaun Hill. He should have his entire starting offensive line in place too, depending on how much Jeff Fisher decides to play his front five.

That also raises a question about Greg Robinson. He may start this week if Rodger Saffold can't play, but he was on the bench when the starting five took the field last week. Robinson was reportedly "spinning" from trying to learn the left guard and left tackle spots.

This game is especially important for the backups vying for a roster spot. Teams have to cut down from 75 to 53 players by the end of the day on Saturday, Aug. 30. After that, they'll be filling out the practice squad.

The one position battle everyone is watching in St. Louis is Michael Sam and Ethan Westbrooks vying for what might be the only open spot on the defensive line. That could change if Fisher decides to keep an extra lineman, but injuries elsewhere on the roster could force some shuffling.
