The St. Louis Rams are back in action tonight against the Cleveland Browns.

A couple things make this game notable for the Rams and not just the sight of the Rams trying to contain Johnny Manziel.

One, it's set to be the first game of the preseason to feature of a number of key players for the Rams in 2014. Between Jake Long, Rodger Saffold, Michael Brockers, James Laurinaitis and Janoris Jenkins, the Rams could have a full five expected week one starters on the field for the first time this preseason.

Two, it's the last preseason opportunity for every player fighting to make the roster. The Rams will have to cut their roster from the current 90-man size down to 75 by Tuesday at 4pm ET. They've got one more game coming on Thursday ahead of the final cuts needed by Saturday afternoon to get the roster down to 53, but this is the first step for hopeful youngsters trying to make the squad.

Third, it's another outing for Sam Bradford. It's worth restating the fact that he had gone a good 300 days without game action until last weekend, so getting quality reps before the game results matter is of prime value.

So goes the preseason for the 2014 Rams.
