Yesterday, Fox Sports' Alex Marvez reported that the St. Louis Rams would be signing former Buccaneers offensive guard Davin Joseph. That deal didn't take long to materialize. The Rams made it official on Wednesday morning.

Joseph is 31 and a two-time Pro Bowler. However, it's still up in the air on what role Joseph will have with the Rams. By all accounts in 2013 he had a horrible year. The year before that he was shelved for the entire year, so there's still hope that he can come in and start a game or two if need be. Plus he's only in town on a one year contract.

For those wondering how good Joseph is, here's his grade from Pro Football Focus.

Yes, those are negatives next to the grade, even though those numbers leave room for interpretation. It's doubtful that the Rams view him as a starter. It's unlikely that he will get playing time in front of Greg Robinson, who will more than likely be playing guard this year, and then there's Rodger Saffold who fell back in the Rams lap.
What it is a depth move, giving the Rams a veteran who knows the game and could even potentially push the younger players.
