With two first-round picks and 11 first-year players overall to sign, the team's pool for its rookie class is expected to be the largest in the league. Projected Starters for the 2014 Rams:  NFL.com

In case you missed it, NFL.com’s Gregg Rosenthal takes a stab at the starting lineup[s] for the Rams heading into Week 1 of the regular season.  There are high hopes for WR Stedman Bailey this season, after a strong finish to his rookie campaign.  He won’t be around until Week 5.  And according to everyone everywhere, it’s time for a Brian Quick breakout.  But as Rosenthal points out, probably after having looked at what he’d created, and says "Wide Receiver typifies what’s wrong with the Rams’ offense."

Will Any Rams Be on the "All Rookie" Roster:  Ramblin’ Fan

While, we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves by predicting which draftees might end up enshrined in Canton in 10-15+ years, it might not be too much of a leap to attempt to nail down the 2014 All-Rookie squads. In the past, the roster makeup has been pretty straight-forward, laden primarily with higher-drafted prospects, with a handful of "surprise," lower-round players sprinkled here and there. So, who from the St. Louis Rams might make their way onto the All-Rookie squad this year?

Rams’ Secondary Continues to Get Younger:  St. Louis Rams’ Official Site

Much has been made over the Rams’ distinction as the league’s youngest team during both the 2012 and 2013 seasons. One of the few areas that did have significant veteran representation was the team’s secondary, which had three members with four or more years of league experience last year. That has changed significantly in a year’s time, as a quartet of third-year defensive backs now represent the senior-most members of the Rams’ 13-man corps of defensive backs.

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith is beginning to sort out his pending legal cases. Smith is scheduled for a July 25 sentencing in Santa Clara. He could be sentenced to anywhere between no time in custody to four years and four months in jail. The no contest plea sets up the NFL to impose potential discipline for Smith.

Here’s a listing of games in which NFL teams are favored this season. Consider it an early measurement of public perception. Opponents are listed in order of how they appear on the club’s schedule.

Evan Silva ranks this year’s Top 150 players...at least in late May.  Yesterday, I highlighted the picks that ESPN’s Matthew Berry had made for his Top 200; which included four Rams.  But, in case I overlooked someone, Silva is far less optimistic than the Talented Mr. Roto.
